This is a landmark year for me and I would love to share it with you. I am celebrating my 30th anniversary as a kaleidoscope artist and in the past 30 years I have personally created over 15,000 kaleidoscopes, building every single piece myself, working exclusively in glass, and using absolutely no mass-produced or machined parts. This has included over 120 different designs, ranging from simple stained glass working methods to highly advanced fusing and slumping techniques.

Of course, that's only part of the process. Kaleidoscopes are really all about the image, and I have to admit that I have devoted many, many hours developing and experimenting with lampworking techniques, focusing on how to control what is a completely random sequence of patterns. The resulting images have gotten better and better with every subsequent kaleidoscope. A consequence of this personal attention to every piece is that no two of my kaleidoscopes are alike.
